This place used to be "talahiban." I was 8-years-old when my family moved in here. All you see were houses that were very much alike - indeed they were all coloured white with the door and window framings. The street seemed to be wide enough and properly lit by street lights after 6:30pm. Looking back to the past, I remember playing patentero, and other other games where we use the black asphalt that rims the egde of the cement streets as our guide. Then as I grew-up, so does my neighbourhood in the village. The number of houses increase, and so does the annoying people that settled down at the back our village who seemed to like the idea of annoying the San Joaquinian Villagers by throwing huge rocks on to our roof tops during the night. Man, I can just imagine how my Dad would get up at night and shut them up by throwing back rocks back at them. Yes, that was funny memories. Speaking of rocks, I remember my neighbour threw a rock at my house and hit my brother on his mouth that caused it to bleed. He was so upset that he threw back rocks at her house like a madman. My mother knew about it, that the circumstances ended up in the Barangay Hall as a case filed as a blutter against the woman.

Just recently, i gave to the youth fund to repair the basketball board. No fund from any politicians for this project. I just want the youth to have somewhere to play basketball so they can promote camaraderie among themselves and to prevent them from involving to any kinds of bad vices.
